Hazelnut Homes was started by a husband and wife team. Alex and Bela are both children of Ukrainian immigrants that came to America in the late 1990s to start a new life. They graduated from the University of Minnesota and settled in the NE suburbs. Their 2 boys go to a Minneapolis public school and on Sundays you can find them at St Mary’s Orthodox Cathedral in the North East Arts District.

Hazelnut Homes began when Bela fell in love with homes while walking the neighborhoods of North East Minneapolis with a stroller. Each house has a history in its very core, in every stud and every brick. Each house shelters people through different parts of their lives. Each person making their history.
